It’s the heat of Summer and time to go traveling! Whether you enjoy hiking or biking in the clear mountain air, kayaking or snorkeling in the deep blue sea, or a cultural exploration of the big city...tell us about your Childfree vacation.
Our trip this year to Nukubati, Fiji off the northern island of Vanua Levu, proved to be the trip of a lifetime. Although it rains almost daily there, the calm clear ocean is surrounded by protective atolls, where you can experience some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving anywhere in the world. The “passes” between the atolls also provide world-class surfing (for Brian), and incredible underwater sea life and reefs!
The island of Nukubati offers secluded little beaches, as well as a short day hike to the lookout gazebo and through the rain forest, with unique flora and fauna. Much of the resort’s incredible cuisine comes from fruits and vegetable grown on the island, the seafood is freshly caught, and the lamb, beef and chicken are raised on the neighboring island of Vanua Levu. The local Fijians are the friendliest folks we’ve ever met in our travels. And, best of all, this quiet little island of only 14 luxury bures does not allow kids under 12 years of age! Check out our photos.
Here’s a view of two beachfront bures on the island of Nukubati, Fiji. This quiet island resort has only 7 bures, and does not allow kids under 12 years of age! We highly recommend Nukubati Resort for a romantic tropical getaway, free from screaming rugrats!
