Welcome to a new year. Have you grown apart from your friends who now have kids? Are you tired of the question “When are you gonna have kids?” and the ensuing “Oh you’ll change your mind.” Perhaps you’re just looking for like-minded people who know that procreating isn’t the  be-all end-all in life? If so, you’re not alone.

Being “Kidfree” is more than a choice, it’s a positive mindset. While over half of non-parents surveyed (53%) have never wanted kids, the rest of us either weren’t sure, hadn’t thought about it, or (at one time) thought we wanted them and later changed our minds.

Perhaps you didn’t choose not to have children, but circumstances –inability to conceive, not finding a partner in time, or finding an unwilling partner– have brought you here. You are “childless” if you are upset by this and feel life has dealt you an unfair hand. You are “kidfree” if in hindsight you are glad about this, and rejoice at the freedom and experiences life has brought you.

Kidfree & Lovin’ It is a book that will envelop this subject like none before. The heart of the book, which will be released in March, revolves around the Kidfree Survey findings from 3,800 non-parents in 55 countries around the world and the Childfree Dating Survey, which has received over 600 responses to date.
